City of Angels
Thanks to a pair of cheap plane tickets thanks to my Jess, we spent 4 incredible days in Los Angeles. Our trip was non-stop. Between eating, hiking, eating, drinking, eating some more, shopping, and of course eating, we got to see a few different sides of the "City of Angels"
First of all, food. My three favorite restaurants start with Din Tai Fung. Located here is a combination of great soup dumplings and awesome dim sum. If you go, I suggest getting there at least 20 minutes before they open to avoid the minimum hour long wait it takes for tables to turnover; this place is that busy! Next, I suggest a visit to one of the Famous Portos Bakeries. This place endless Mexican pastries on the cheap! I loved the spicy fried potato balls and the cheese rolls. Finally, you can't go wrong with a trip to Rosco's for chicken and waffles. Ask for the gravy on the side, but don't be afraid to take a dip in the maple syrup once in a while.
One thing I didn't expect was all the outdoor activities LA has to offer! Between working out on the beach, long runs through the city, and hiking to the Hollywood sign, this place has it all. I even got to attempt reaching my 300 lbs bench press max at the legendary muscle beach in Santa Monica. Came just in just shy at 295 before I had to stop. But progress is progress!
One thing is for sure, I definitely have to visit LA again. Thanks again to my one and only Jessica for this amazing trip!
